Our Protagonist (Rainn Nichols) has recently moved to New York with her mom after her dad evaporated like a phantom. Left with minimal in excess of a check to reside on and a stalled truck to move them around, our hero is removed from her home and presently ex, compelled to reside in an inn on some unacceptable side of the Big Apple. This is where she meets our other hero (Logan Knox), the red-haired guitarist and establishing individual from the essentially obscure instrumental metalcore band, We Were Just Kids. Comprised of himself, bassist Jason Butler, and drummer Reagan Lee. What starts as our hero joining the band on the fly for a school ability show quickly develops into the group of four being pushed into a spotlight of sex, drugs, music, distinction, love, and maybe demise.

Not all things are as it appears to be on a superficial level. The debasement of music, the absence of equilibrium in the business’ power dynamic, and the enticements of fame all test the solidarity of the band as past connections catch up with our heroes. Could they at any point deal with the intensity of the spotlight, or the tension of unexpected notoriety? Could our heroes at any point work through the weeds? Or on the other hand, will they disintegrate like the numerous before them?
